Our Team
Matt Peters
President & Owner
Matt has extensive experience in the hockey world, including event management, playing, and officiating. He graduated from Oswego State University and gained valuable tournament operations skills while working as a Portfolio Manager for Legacy Global Sports.
His work in that role, along with his time in youth, junior, and NCAA hockey, led him to start Nickel City Hockey in 2020. Matt’s goal is to create memorable experiences for young athletes and their families at every event.
Nick Peters
Operations Director
Nick joined Nickel City Hockey in 2022, bringing strong sports management skills to the team. He graduated from the University of South Carolina and gained valuable experience at Augusta National Golf Club, where he worked in operations and sales for The Masters Tournament, one of the world’s most famous golf events.
As a lifelong hockey player and sports advocate, Nick is dedicated to creating competitive, safe, and fun youth hockey events.
